"i have always had a "thing" for pears. i refer to them often in my work. i love their shapes and their colors. and though i love pear flavor, i can only eat a very firm but juicy pear, which means the window of opportunity of pear consuming for me is very small. i'll buy what i think is the perfect pear at the market, and by the time i get it home, it is too mushy for me to eat. but i do enjoy fake pear flavoring . . . and an asian pear is almost always perfect." - Artist Rae Dunn
