Candle Safety Notes: To ensure even burning, the wax should pool evenly across the top surface the first time the candle is lit. Wicks should be trimmed to a quarter of an inch each time before burning. Never burn a candle on an unprotected surface and avoid burning candles in a draft. For optimum safety and candle longevity, you should not burn candles more than 4-5 hours at a time.
